Bella and Justin’s wedding on the Spirit of Ethan Allen just proves that rain on your wedding day can make for some seriously beautiful photos! During the reception the rain cleared and the fog over Lake Champlain made for some fabulously foggy photos!
When it’s too cold for an outdoor engagement session breweries are a great option. Sarah and Josh had the idea to go to the new location of Lawsons’s Finest in Waitsfield Vermont and it was perfect. In addition to the beer, and the beautiful building, the boardwalk from the Watisfield Village Path that runs in front of Lawsons made for perfect photos!
“We just started dating can you take a picture of us?” That’s how my husband and I met Jen and Cody while we were photographing a wedding. Three years later we had the honor of photographing their wedding at Arts Riot in Burlington Vermont. It was a big wedding full of so much happiness and excitement! It rained all day but everything was perfect and beautiful including the food truck dinner!
I love dogs, waterfalls, and chilly Vermont temperatures... so naturally this was one of my most favorite photoshoots! When I first started talking to Becca their dog Higgs was going through some really scary health problems. When Higgs got a clean bill of health they knew he needed to be the star of their engagement session and he certainly rose to the occasion! Blueberry Lake and Warren Falls made for an absolutely perfect wintery backdrop!
Ragged Mountain was the perfect location for Kate and Nate's wedding! The whole day could not have been more perfect! Their ceremony was held at the top of the mountain and they surprised their guests with cannon fire at the end! Kate's face was absolutely priceless when it went off! Everyone went back down to the barn at the base for the reception and partied the night away.
It's another flashback day here at Melissa Lynn Images! Back to June of last year when fashion blogger Annaliese from Southern Belle In Training and I went to the Burlington Fishing Pier and Boardwalk for a beautiful photoshoot! I love shooting at the Fishing Pier SO much! It offers more angles, views and fun lines than just the boardwalk does. Right behind it we found this fun, colorful wall too!
I am so excited to share Olivia and Austin's wedding with you today! I met and became friends with Olivia years ago when we worked retail together. So when she told me her and the boy she had been talking about for so long were getting married of course I had to travel to CT document it! They had a beautiful wedding at their church in Newington CT, with a small reception and they ended the day with a balloon sendoff!
I can't say enough good things about this wedding! Brooks and Aimee were SO much fun to photograph, they had their dog Doug as part of their wedding (one of my favorite things), their wedding was at Tourterlle, a local wedding venue that I adore, their flowers were amazing... I could keep going but instead I am going to let you look at these beautiful photos of their fantastic wedding day!
It was only 10 days ago that Ashley first contacted me! She told me about Andre proposing to her at Big Sky Montana and their love of Skiing. We quickly came to the conclusion that if she wanted to incorporate their love of skiing in their engagement shoot we needed to meet as soon as possible. Thankfully we were able to do the shoot the very next Saturday and we had the most perfect March day in Vermont! We rode up the mountain on the chairlifts, down the gondola, and then made our way to the most perfect little red covered bridge! We had so much fun and I am so happy that I was able to work with them!
Katie and Dylan had a beautiful summer wedding! Their ceremony was held at St. Francis Xavier Church in Williston Vermont, then we headed to Perkins Pier for some beautiful and sun filled portraits before heading to Vermont National Country Club where they Katie and Dylan danced the night away.
